What makes advertisement good or bad?

Copy, graphics and the design makes an ad good or bad. Copy means the written words. If the words used on the ad are interesting, people will surely check the ad.
 
Many people failed to understand that advertisement needs balance. One side shouldn't feel heavier than the other. The advertisement should also make good use of contrast, reputation, color, and pattern. When these elements are are well employment, it makes advertisement a good one.
I think advertisement fails when the business owners have failed to connect with their customers. It may be the fault of the producers or just a really bad editing job.
 
If the message on your advertisement does not get into the heads of your potential customers, you need to understand that your advertisement was ugly. Graphics, copy, formatting etc. ply a great role in the success of ad.

Balance is required in the advertising. - Neither side should be heavier than the other. Contrast, repetition, color, and pattern should all be used effectively in the commercial. When these design components are well-integrated into a commercial, the outcome is a fantastic ad that will appeal to viewers on an aesthetic level.

Majority of the advert today are misleading, they tend to over exaggerate on what you can do with their goods and services, they make it look very easy but in reality it is not so. Would you also classify this as passing out the wrong information to the masses?
 
All you said about advertisement is true and right, this advertisement is really what sparks people up to buy goods this days and is very important to any business that wants to grow and reach the people with it
 
Effective advertisement make customer to be aware of the type of product you are selling,it drags customer to sellers and provide access between buyers and sellers.
 
Asides the advertisement being balanced, the message has to be right. You can't have a great media side and the message not right.
Another thing is that you also need to ensure the advertisement doesn't go out of line with industry regulations. That's very key.
 
Production of goods and acquisition of skills to render services is one thing, while making people aware of the presence of such product or service is another thing. A bad product that is properly advertised will sell better than a good product that is poorly advertised because the targeted audience in need of such solution will think that the bad product is the only available solution to them.
 
Advertisment is always the same because advertising your products is not quite different from what others advertise too but the bad side is that some of the advertising content aren't persuading enough. And this could hamper your products or services promotion.

I don't think really think so though, an advert can be classified as bad when it does not reach your target audience, there are certain adverts that does not even relate to the message in any form. Have you seen such adverts before?
 
I think an advertisement can be good or bad. If it does not relay the appropriate message it is supposed to then you can say that the advertisement is bad. A good advertisement should have every necessary information about the product or services you are rendering to your customer.
I think what make a difference between a good and bad advertisement is the message the advertisement is meant to portray and how it potrays it, if it's is potrayed effectively, customers can relate and want to know more about the product or service then that's good advertisement.

if your message is not passed across to your audience in less than 3 seconds, then your advertisement is bad, and this is for billboards and banner ads that are been setup on the street.

I think the best ads are the ones that aren't popping up in your face, or being forced on you. Good ads are done in spots where you aren't going to see the ad take over what you're looking for. Ads should always be to the side, above or below an article, story, etc.

Pop-ups are bad, and a no-no imo. But other advertising is no problem to me.
