What Is The Relationship Between Unemployment And Crime?

That's a good question and I think that the relationship between unemployment and crime is often interconnected. When unemployment rates rise, some individuals may struggle to meet their financial needs and may resort to criminal activities as a means of survival. The lack of employment opportunities can lead to frustration, desperation, and increased crime rates

This is the real time direct effect of having high unemployment rate in any country. The outcome is the same thing worldwide. This is why we're seeing a lot to shooting, arrests and gangs/drugs related activities on the increase every day. This problem of high rate of unemployment need to be fixed as quickly as possible, otherwise no one will be safe anywhere.

I believe that unemployment and crime are highly correlated, when people do not have a livelihood to take home they are going to look for it in any way, and if they have to commit crimes they are going to do it, not all, but a large part, in my country there is a good unemployment rate and also crime.

We just have to look at the countries that have full employment, we will realize that their crime rate is very low.

If people are jobless, they will still be hungry. Hunger doesn't look at anyone's face. If you're kid, hunger will strike you if you don't eat and the same thing goes for adults. A parent wouldn't be looking at his child's face when they are hungry and not do anything. This is what leads many into crime to help them survive.

There's a proverb in my country about hunger that says - Hunger is the only thing that's capable of beating a child in the face of their parents and their parents won't do anything but look for food to give their kids. A parent in this kind of situation without a job will steal to feed their kids.

Yes, unemployment and crime are interconnected 100%. It's impossible to remove crime from being caused by unemployment. Unemployment causes a lot of things which crime is one of them. I've been unemployment and it was a frustrating experience as I was restless most of the time.

How are people supposed to survive without working and making money? This is why when they have exhausted all their options that are legitimate when it comes to making money, they will go into crime. In my country, we are experiencing lots of internet scam. It's what most youths who are jobless are into.

Yes, it is normal that this happen, here criminals directly steal or are also dedicated to selling drugs, I don't know if they are also related to the number of scams that are taking place, but surely they did it too.

Honestly, they are the ones who have chosen that life, there are always ways to get ahead legally.

The thing that I found out about being involved in crime is that once they have started seeing a lot of progress from the proceeds that you get from the crime activities that they are into, they always find it very difficult to leave or stop it because it seems as if they get a lot of money from that kind of lifestyle.

You're very correct with that assessment but it's just a shame that most of them only see crime as the option that's left for them in the situation they have found themselves in. It's true indeed that crime can give you money but what about the consequences of being caught? This is what these people are not putting into consideration when they want to head into crime.

There might be many people who may never want to commit a crime, but they may have no other option left. However, this does not justify crime under any kind of circumstances. Committing a crime is a bad thing under all circumstances, no matter what.

Although I always believe that there's a job out there for anyone to do. It's just that it may not be a high paying job. Someone who doesn't have an eye for crime and isn't too greedy will always manage what they can find instead going into crime.

Low-paying jobs are also one of the main reasons why so many people commit crime. What's quite strange is the fact that there are so many people who have a part-time job. When their duty timings are over, they start committing crime, as their job alone is not sufficient enough to provide for them.

Well, all I can say is that if someone is contented with whatever he or she is doing as a job not minding the amount of money that they have been paid, they will never resort to committing crime in order to make money. This is because what they are already getting is enough for them to hold them down. Greed is the biggest influence for committing crime.

There are many people who work for long hours and they refuse to commit crime and I think that society needs such kind of people. I have seen people working two different jobs in a day and this is how they have been surviving. They have to do this because they are not interested in committing a crime. This is a good thing.

Well, that's the essence of having someone is contented with whatever they are into. Any other external thing that's trying to get their attention into something that's not legitimate will never succeed because they are very good where they have themselves in doing what's good.

The fact of the matter remains that this is something many people do not realise. There have been many people who resort to committing crimes and unethical businesses despite the fact that they could have had used their talent in order to find a good, high-paying job. They opt to commit crime because they think that it generates easy money. This is clearly a delusional mindset.

It is as a result of this kind of people still existing in our society today that we still have crime been committed by a lot of them. They will always be looking for ways to engage in so many illegal activities because of the benefits that they can get from doing those things instead of doing something that is legitimate and then managing whatever they get paid from it.

Crime is much common in places where people are not ready to admit that they are wrong. People need to rectify themselves and try to improve the society at a personal level. This is quite important if people want to change the condition at a higher level. Each and every person needs to play a crucial role.

The government of any country where there is increased crime rate is always going to be the one to be blamed for whatever that is happening in that country. This is because if they had made provisions to make sure that their citizens are always been looked out for when it comes to having something they are going to do in other to make money for themselves, they wouldn't be much interested in crime by so many of them.
