I've never seen myself in a position of working as a public accountant for any government ministry but I know that it is something that has to do with management of their financial record and budget. They take part in embezzlement of state funds if they know how to cover their tracks.

Most of them who are currently holding that position in government Ministries in my country actually are not there by merit but by connection, which is what is killing the government sector in my country because of the way they hire those that work in viable position in the government.
