It's just the craze which is getting generated with advertisements in TV on gambling and betting sites , in our country , example like Dream11 fantasy game. People get inspired by ads on TV and try to gamble only to lose at the end. But gambling occasionally with calculated risks involved can be done with any amount which can be afforded to lose.

I think most of such kind of advertisements are legalized by the government and it all depends on the legality of gambling in the country. Companies have no problem advertising the gambling platforms in countries where gambling is legal. Thankfully, gambling is not legaol in my counrtry. However, there are still many hidden gambling dens in my city.

Well, if you do a Google search, you will find that sports betting did increase during the pandemic period. I really do not know what was the main reason behind it, but it did increase a lot. Some sources have stated that people got involved in gambling due to financial problems and they were willing to risk the capital they had. It is quite strange thing!

Well I agree with you right here on the fact that most people get into sport getting out of financial frustration even though they know that their chances of winning something which sports betting is very soon but they still would want to take that kind of a risk which points to how desperate they are.

Where I live, (Michigan US), it is now allowed to promote online gambling on stuff like YouTube and social media. Due to that, I've wondered if it is even worth betting on sports at all. I normally frown against better and gambling, as it's far too risky and dangerous imo.

Gambling is unfortunately legal here , but it still depends on the individual state to decide whether to promote gambling or not. For example , state like Tamilnadu doesn't allow any of its people to gamble in any kind of site except the crypto gambling which is decentralised.

Even though gambling is illegal in Pakistan, many online gambling sites are still accessable in here. They are being used by the Elite class in my country to gamble money. This is what you call "legalised gambling", even though offline gambling is illegal.

Yes , offline gambling is illegal here as well. People still visit casinos in metro cities during late night and somehow manage to escape the police. Online gambling sites are accessible by almost everyone, that too after the introduction of crypto gambling sites.

Yeah , it's allowed in Goa because there are very few localities living there and most of the people visit Goa from foreign countries or other parts just for enjoying their life. So Goa government is little linient when it comes to casinos.

Yeah that's great way to curb gambling to some extent at least. But online gambling is the one which is hard to control for any government as well because of its nature and fact that people use vpn to access restricted casino sites.

It very annoying to see underage going to betting shops to bet which is totally wrong. Nobody is talking it serious and the number keep increasing. Majoring of them steal the money from their parent and guardians.
