Should you create a forum for your customers?

The simple truth is that most people are not used to making use of forums today unlike years ago which is why most companies now rely on running social media pages for their businesses where a lot of people have more usage of social media platform.

Well, I think that it all depends. Many professional companies do run a forum where they have a moderator and a team member who responds to queries all the time.
 
I also believe that the customer service representative also take part in the discussion of the business product and services in the forum as well because they cannot just allow people to just be discussing blindly based on their assumptions.
Putting a customer representative on the team of product formulation is a good one, as they understand better what the customer needs and how to solve that need.

Yes, that is true, I don't see a reason why a small business owner would need a forum, It is counter productive and time consuming.

Yeah, there are some business ventures that are always very active on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and some others. Some people may prefer to complain on platforms like Twitter because there will be immediate solution.
That is true , I have come to find out that using social media to complain will always promote immediate attention and have your issue resolved much quicker because they are not interested to leave a bad review for themselves.
