Should AI art be illegal?

AI has been huge as of late, blowing up big time to the point that people are using it a lot these days. But there is some worry that AI is getting too good. For example, AI Art looks fantastic for the most part and it's only getting better as we speak. But since it uses a database of images/content as inspiration, there are some saying that AI Art is theft of real art. Do you think that's true?

As AI art is not produced by humans, some contend that it ought to be banned; nevertheless, others contend that it should be regarded equally with other forms of art and be governed by the same rules.
