Renting or leasing, which is the best option for a house owner?

For a house owner that wants to be collecting some money on their property without selling it, there are two options for him, which are renting it out and collecting a rent on monthly or yearly payment basis.
The second option is leasing out the property which is giving out the property for some period of time like 5,6 or more years depending on the agreement entered between the owner of the property and the person that wants to lease it.
These two options are great way to earn money on a property but which is the option for a house owner?
As a house owner, i would prefer giving out my property on rent.
The rent would be paid yearly. The leasehold allows for a longer period of ownership of an acquired property, and the leasee can agree to pay all at once or in installments.

As a home owner I will prefer to rent my house than lease it out, that's because in most cases houses are leased for a good number of years on a particular lease amount, whereas if the same house was on yearly rental, the house will be at liberty to increase the rent and make more money if he want. Also if the house owner has a financial problem and want to sale to house, it will be easier for him if the house is on rent than if it's on lease.

Any of the options can be viable but I think for house owners, renting out is better because of the constant turnover available and the means it provides to allow the owner to be able to make decisions if he doesn't like what he's experiencing from the tenants.

as for me both are good, renting and leasing are lucrative business because the two has the same purpose, and it depends what the owners want to do with the building, so both of them are profitable.
Well, I think it depends on what type of property you own. Like a couple of comments already point out, you have to understand all the legal terminology and how to treat a tenant under a rental contract and one under a lease.

Leasing a property is a great idea if you see yourself wanting to make money from a tenant for a long time, if you choose the right tenant it’s a great idea.

It’s true that you need to do more paperwork if you lease, but you’ll need to do that anyway, I’ve seen some good info and templates on this website that are really helpful.

Do a tenant screening as well, especially if you think he or she is going to be there for the long haul.

of course, Renting is more adaptable than buying, but less adaptable than leasing you have got to commit to a period .Regularly, shrewd that have get to to their claim source of capital select to purchase instead of rent.

Definitely, I think if you are renting out a house there is always an agreement between the property owner and a tenant. In that agreement if the tenant breach is it that you have the right to evict him or her. The good thing about this type is that there is always constant turnover.

Renting is the best. I think leasing was done during the olden days. Nowadays you won't even have such opportunity anymore , people will just be interested to rent out their properties to people and have them paid on yearly basis.

In any kind of real estate business, I believe renting is the best option than considering leasing because renting can makes you some good amount of money and still have a total control over your property and the tenants.

Renting and leasing the both are good business for a house owner. Leasing is for a long period of time and for a house owner that need money renting will be good advice because yearly you will be collecting payment while leasing will be once in 3yrs or more
Actually renting will be a better idea than leasing which will takes sometimes even more than three years. though everyone has a demand and how to run his estate business.

Renting is much better for house owners. Renting is mostly done for properties or lands. In leasing, the servicing and maintenance are done by the lessee when s/he takes the equipment on lease. read more. In renting, on the other hand, the servicing and maintenance are done by the landlord even if the tenant takes the property on rent.
One of the advantage of a property that is put for lease is that it will help the land owner to get his money in bulk sum, since the leasing terms is usually for a longer period of time, like 5years and 10 years.

Individual needs and goals affect the choice of selecting amongst the two.
As for me, I would opt for the rent option because I may sell it anytime I want.

Both renting and leasing are profitable business ventures for home owners.
Leasing is for a long time, so if you own a home and need money, renting is a fantastic idea because you'll be getting payments every year, as opposed to leasing, which only happens every three years or so.

One of the things that most property owners usualy look out for is if their money will be coming in bulk,so that they can be able to make good use of the money for reasonable venture.long term leasing would be ok for some in this category.

As far as I know and in this way it is used in my country, rent and leasing are synonymous. Therefore, they have the same purpose, which is to give a property for a certain time in exchange for an economic benefit. The landlord and the tenant sign a contract that can be for a short period or for years, depending on the agreement.
I would prefer to lease my property rather than renting as leasing is a long-term project and they would help you to develop the land or property as well which would then increase in value.

Renting is the most popular one and I will go for renting anytime. This is mainly done within a short periods of time between a period of few months to a year.

Renting and leasing are two different terms used for the same thing, collecting rent from the property. If you lease, you have a longer contract, if you rent you rent out for a small period, which may or may not have a written contract.

Renting typically offers greater freedom because there is no massive commitment and it can be discontinued at any time. Additionally, renting does not necessitate a significant financial commitment, and upkeep and renovations are the tenant's responsibility.

If I don't have use for the house I am currently leaving or for my property, I would prefer to lease over renting out the house, as the person leasing the property would spend on renovation

From what I know, leasing is giving out for a long period of time say 10 years. Rent is giving out for a short period of time say 1 to 2 years. I prefer renting. That's because anything can happen and you need your house back. With renting, you would only need to wait for a short period unlike leasing.

It depends on what you like as the house owner , though rent pays because you will be getting it at the end of every month , but with lease , you get the lease money at once .
