As from my understanding, people mainly use Google as search engine means you can focus on it but as you works to rank in Google, it automatically ranks you other search engines too as most of them have same fuction.

I think the same criteria is what is mostly optainable from google to bing,because the content and keywords are things that play a major role on how a site can be index and given a good ranking.

I doubt of a search engines use similar algorithms at the same time. Usually people find it easier to rank on Google first, then tweak their content to rank on the other search engines.

What does it take in order to rank on all search engines? I want to rank my sites on Google of course (already done for the most part), but I also want to take advantage of other search engines, like Bing and Yahoo. Would you rank on these search engines if you are ranked on Google? As well, is it possible to rank on private search engines like duckduckgo for example?

I believe that the exact same parameters are often selectable from different search engines, because content and keywords are important factors that run through all search engines in how a site is published online and ranked.

My experience tells me if you rank on the first page on Google, you will also appear on the first page of Bing. Your actual rank might differ but you will rank high that is for sure.
