Building eCommerce website is a lot more easier than promoting it.

There are many tools to build an eCommerce website and I believe there are some software too, to install. Anyway, how do you promote them? Do you use Google Adwords? Is it worth it? I am not sure what to pick when it comes to advertising something. I haven't signed up for Google Adwords yet but I believe it's pretty expensive.

So, is there a way to promote this without spending too much money?
 
Facebook helps a lot with promotion but I think the best promotion is word of mouth, get some good sales and at one point they will tell to others to check what you offer.
 
Now a days social media is key for these kind of business as you will see quality traffic which converts much better and if you're good in Social media than you could save money as it's less expansive or free if you have huge numbers of followers.

For Google Adwords, it is quite handy but for that you need experience to run your campaign otherwise you might see poor ROI.
 
Yea that is true, each platform, from linkedin, facebook etc has research done on when is the best moment to post, when I worked in the pharma/health field earlier this year, I remember we worked with this part as a Marketing Growth Hacker Specialist and every platform knows when their users are mostly online and spending time scrolling down..
 
You have to Utilize (and keep building) your email list and Boost your organic social presence. Optimize your site for SEO. Try out Google Ads and use ur own social medias
 
Building things is usually easier than promotions them. Most of the times people spend more money on advertising than on the actual product, in this case an eccomerce website.

I think at the beginning you should try promoting your website directly to people. This means contacting people on social media or forums and recommending them to check out your website. Of course you shouldn't do it by just spamming your website link to everyone, you should somehow bring your website into discussion and then make sure they check it out. Eventually some of them are actually going to start using it and if they enjoyed and were pleased with your service I'm sure they will recommend it to thier friends also.

I started with a WordPress website then I run Facebook and Instagram ads at different times to drive traffic to my website. You can try this method too
