Do you guys think that it's worth it to advertise in magazines these days? Magazines are pretty much dying out, but I still see them on the stands these days and I have friends who still subscribe to some. Would it be worth it to invest in magazine advertising? What do you guys think?

I don't think many people are purchasing any magazines these day. Only a few libraries or companies got subscriptions and the reader count is dwindling slowly. I highly doubt after a 100 years or so, the magazine marketing would still be there.

As for advertising, it's better to go with digital marketing.
Or may be you can choose very popular magazines with respect to the targeted niche and audience.

There’s no type of marketing that’s useless. The most important thing is to know your prospective clients if you do, then you know your targets. Magazine adverts is usually targeted adverts. What you’re marketing determines where you advertise

It depends on the area you are . In my area , it is not effective as most people don't have much time to use it.

Magazines and newspapers too. People are very much used to their phones, it hard to get peoples attention except you are with them on digital devices.

I can't even remember the last time I saw one.

Well, If you can afford advertisment in both fields, through magazines and through net.then you can invest in both because still there are many people who read magazines ,so it ll also helpful .
But if you can afford advertisment in both fields then I recommend online advertising

Magazine marketing does no really worth it considering the rate at which people are now dumping the stuff and getting what ever they need online. Maybe you should look into online marketing

Sales of magazines these days are dying out. However there are people that still buy magazines. Although the proportion of people buying magazines might not be encouraging.

People have reduced the reading of magazine. These days more and more people read the internet news. And it can be pretty difficult for the marketing to work. You can market the magazine in the places where there is less population and low internet speed. In such places you can promote the magazine.

The era of hard copy of magazine is gradually fading away. As we now deal mainly on soft copy. Thus, the one can market his or her products through the use of social media.

Most if the people who have left comments here do not truly understand how print ads work. Print publication are still valued, the printed ads have better reach. If you do not believe me try flipping the pages of printed magazines featuring ads from trusted brands.

I had been writing for a pet magazine here before the pandemic era. But now I cannot see the magazine stand anymore. There are no more magazines to sell although there's a few newspapers in the rack in one kiosk in the mall. Yes, I agree that magazines are going online now that advertising in print version is not wise. Even the printed newspaper seems to be giving way to the online version. What's annoying are the pop-up ads in the online version that blocks the view of the article.

As you have some of your friends who still subscribe to some magazine still show that business is still kicking though not like before. Magazine is still one of best advert source for the targeted products. Some people who are not well fascinated by online social media still read magazine. The best form of advert you can run on the website is two step marketing.

The physical aspect of magazine has beginning to face off gradually, only some of the magazines company who has online presence are still struggling to remain relevant. Social media is one of the course of fading out magazine, even the normal news paper are no longer moving like before.. Everybody is going online..

not that they are worthless as they are still used in some rural areas in some part of the world but there is no need for you to use it in town where there are lots of digital marketers that could have done the job for you which will be much easier in a way that you can reach a prospective consumer of your choice then for you to go and spend time to be writing books that people' will not have time to read.

The big guns of the magazine world are national: Cosmopolitan, People, Time, Reader's Digest, Seventeen. Many other magazines cover a specific region, state or city. Durham Magazine. North Dakota Business. Nevada Magazine. If you're targeting customers in a specific locale, you can advertise more cheaply in an area magazine than a national one.
