Long distance relationships, have they worked for you?

Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? I kind of have, as I was dating this woman online for a while. It was legit, as we are facebook friends and even video chatted with each other multiple times now. We've talked about meeting, but with her finances down, and mine too, it's been rough.

But, we hope to meet sometime next year. We've decided to save up some money and travel out to a close location and meet that way. Should be fun.

I don't really believe in lost-distance relationships. I had one and it didn't end up well. Maybe for some people it can work out, but for a lot of people it doesn't.
