Yeah, that's very correct. It's why I don't have any interest in playing such video games. It's a complete waste of time to me because I can never get anything equivalent in terms of the time and commitment I have invested in playing such game which I would have used to get something tangible if I was invested with another thing that is more reasonable.

I think the only way to make video games your main source of income is to dedicate yourself to Esports if you are very good at a specific video game or otherwise try to start a YouTube channel about video games and monetize it, but it will be a long journey and better that you have alternative sources of income while you develop the project.
