The population of people that eat bread alone would make it lucrative. Not to talk about other products that bakeries offer. It is capital and labor intensive to start but highly profitable. Here in the urban settlement , starting a bakery business is always lucrative because its a food people eat everyday to survive and the competition is not rampant because we have less bakery and more consumers .
You will be surprised at how many people are looking for fresh bakery products over ones that are pre-packaged and have been sat for a while. If you are able to find a good place to start up a bakery and you can offer the services for a reasonable price it is definitely a great business to get into and one that will be popular.
This is true. A lot of people are always on the lookouts for freshly baked breads that they can use for consumption and once you are able to offer them this opportunity to get such breads, they will always want to come for more. I don't know how much is the cost of making one bread, then I believe that the business owners or bakeries always breakeven.
Personally, there is nothing that is going to make me to buy a bread that is not fresh. It is the reason why I always make up time to go to bakery and get my bread as it is coming out from the oven which is still going to be very hot. When I'm going to buy bread from a restaurant, it will definitely be a restaurant that have their own bakery within the restaurant.

However, they had to wind-up the bakery as the bakery was not providing them with the kind of high-quality products they wanted.
