Of course, it is! However, the exception would be if you're marketing specifically to a political niche. For instance, in the US, a Republican could specifically market to Republicans and a Democrat could specifically market to Democrats.
 
Of course, politics is bad for marketing. Never mix commercial ads with political ads. It will only have a negative impact on your brand. With politics, people don't have positive emotions attached. Such marketing gets aggressive and spreads only bad energy.
 
Not nessesarily but with how things have been going lately, it is best to not get involved as a company, business, or online site owner. I have seen a number of companies get too political and pick sides which ends up costing them a lot of money. Best to stay neutral in almost all cases.
 
If you are running a political website then it's ok. Otherwise, it's best to stay neutral. Netizens don't like cheap people using politics to promote their websites. Few search engines like google might ban your account if they found posts or comments that abuse other.
 
Totally agree! I believe, everyone is entitled to a political stand but it should not be mixed with marketing. Politics is such a complicated topic to be involved in, and it might ruin your brand's reputation in a snap!
