Starting work at upwork as a writer is not really difficult but I can't say it's easy. I have my reasons. If you want to join upwork as a writer today, all that is required of you is to create free account and update your profile. And wait for it to be approve. Easy, right? But it's difficult in the sense that it's not easy for new writer to get job because of high competition.

With Upwork you have to have some kind of history with writing, I think. I haven't worked for Upwork in years myself. I know you can offer jobs for certain pay and bid for certain jobs as well. But, the more work you do, the more likely you'll find better jobs. Show that you can write great content, and your reviews will be enough to increase your potential earnings.
