There are thousands of sources online that claim to help you earn money online, like work from home and other easy investment options.

My question is, how do you find which one is legit and which one is just a scam?

Tell me about your own experience. Your response might help newbies who're looking for online earning opportunities.

When it comes to finding an online earning site many will always be weary about whether it is a scam or legit and that is bound to happen due to how many scams we do find online.

Sometimes things can end up being too good to be true and that can lead you to be a little more cautious when accepting something online that claims to allow you to earn.

Whenever I have found a site like this and I have been a little skeptical about it, I tend to look for reviews and do my research before I decide to put my time into the site.

Many people state that you must check for reviews, but reviews could be very misleading. The fact of the matter remains that you may need to try the website yourself first in order to actually judge the website.

If you can get the usernames (or better yet, real names) or remember their profile pics, you can check the reviews - the positive reviews.. and see if they match any current or even former members. Otherwise, yes, some of the reviews could be fake.
Also, if it's something like forum posting, or PTC, PTU; check the activity of the sites, see how active they are. An active site is usually a legit site.

You yourself said "easy investments" when they assure you that an investment is easy and that anyone can do it, you can expect the worst, generally websites with poor design are also doubtful, if it offers really high or surreal returns of the type of double your money in a week, he is probably a Hyip and he just wants to take your money, also websites that want to show you how one person got rich with a magical method which he will teach you in a course or things like that, you should also be wary, there are websites like scamadviser that can detect possible fraudulent sites as well as actively looking for reviews can help, such as on forums, Trustpilot, Foxyrating etc...

Nowadays scammers are becoming more and more professional. They tend to design a website that may seem really professional. There was a Hyip site called Unitex Capital and they seemed professional and reliable company. However, in reality they were scammers who looted people.

If it sounds too good to be true, it most certainly is. A lot of scams will promise you a lot and ask for money up front. If they don't ask for money up front, they will give you an unrealistic measure of what you could earn, not what you are likely to earn.

Well, there are many scams out there and this also involves trying to make money by investing money in Hyip sites. They would promise high returns, but in the end they will not offer you anything at all.

Determining whether an online earning offer is legitimate or a scam can be challenging, as scammers can be quite crafty. Key factors to consider are research, beware of realistic promises, verify contact information, lack of information, upfront payments and fees, trust your instincts, seek reviews and recommendations. Conducting thorough research and being cautious are vital when evaluating online earning offers. It's always better to be safe than sorry and to approach such opportunities with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Practically speaking, you cannot find out whether the site is legit or not. A lot of sites pay in the beginning and people will say it is legit and then later the site stops paying. A lot of sites change rules so frequently that you never know when they stop paying. A lot of sites choose to pay some and avoid paying others. Therefore, you will see a mixed reaction.

Not many people think about checking reviews. They rush into commiting to such sites and it makes me wonder why they won't be ripped off at the end of the day. There are times that I have to wait for a longer period of time to see how a site is treating other members before I can decide to join.

It is all about being careful and not wasting my time on something that is not going to yield any results at the end of the day.
