- Apply two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA.
- Create 16+ characters; a strong password generator would be perfect. Ensure you remember the password and store it somewhere safe.
-Keep your recovery pass phrase safe. If you lose access to this, YOUR FUNDS WILL BE GONE.

Anyone else has any other suggestions?

First thing is to get a really good password. A mix of letter, characters and numbers.
Secondly, keep your password safe, don't write it where people can see. Lastly, I advice people to use a cold storage of possible.

Apart from enabling 2FA, encrypting your digital wallet is another line of defense against potential cyber-attacks. This allows you to set a password and lock your coins whenever someone attempts to access your account. The hacker won’t be able to steal your Bitcoin unless he knows the password you set.

Yes you're right, to keep your cryto currencies wallet safe, you need the 2fa and also encryption. A very strong password is also required not compulsorily 16 characters but you can just make it complex by using all available classes of characters like. Letters plus numbers and symbols

Create an alpha-numeric password first
Enable your 2FA thentication with google authenticator
Enable sms or email confirmation for every login.
Sometimes it may appears too cumbersome having to do all these at every login but keeping your coin safe is worth all the perceived stress.

Those are excellent tips and I already put those on place. If I were to do all that at every login, it would be frustrating but luckily, those things are only needed when you need to make any transactions at all.

If the wallet feature has a feature such as 2-step verification and verification via the app, choose to use it. Of course, since you will use such an additional security measure, you must protect the access information in these applications.

Write a reminder tip that will allow you to recover your crypto wallet in case you forget the password you were accessing your wallet. It is useful to remember that you determined this when you registered.
Use hardware wallets for cryptocurrencies. Most of the people trading with crypto money do not prefer it due to its cost.

Instead of using antivirus, use end point production protection to protect the devices you use for accessing crypto wallets and exchanging cryptocurrencies. This will be safer.

The methods you mentioned are also the methods I used too. I use the Two factor authentication and I make sure to use a very strong password.

I try to write my password somewhere else and keep safe, so I don't lose it.

You said it all , what I want to add is that as you are about to enable two factor authentication , you should ensure that the email to be used is not compromised ,so that you wallet won't be at risk.
Secondly , you need to avoid downloading wallet update from sites that are not trustworthy because it can be used to hack your account

I think that a great suggestion for when it comes to keeping your wallet safe, if you wallet supports it is to add the google authenticator onto it as well. The codes for the authenticator are in the app and it changes every minute or so If I am not mistaken so I think that It provides a bit more security because the codes will be hard to hack or guess in any sense.

Disable fingerprint login and make use of a strong password with different characters. Your fingerprint can be used to login without your consent. Make sure it is only you that knows about your wallet, unless a very trusted person.

I am open to learning , I accept the idea of using a very strong password of different special keys but how can one finger print be used to open his wallet , do you mean when he asleep or under pressure?

I have no crypto wallet yet and probably I have to post my question regarding what I know about crypto currency. I have seen a sample of crypto wallet that is very long and a mix of letters and numbers which baffled me. With the password I understand that you have to keep it safe from being exposed because as you said, your funds will be gone when someone would be able to hack your wallet because of negligence on the password.

i would suggest this tip too, always use Google Chrome when checking your crypto wallet, it keeps you updated about the websites that got their database leaked and asks you to change your password, this way you can be notified if you have to change your password or not

There is this debate about hardware wallets being better and safer. It's claimed that because it's mostly offline, the keys are more secure.

It all depends on how much cryptocurrency you own. Usually an unusually strong combination of password can ensure safety

I totally agree with you boss. You have to enable two-factor authentication so as to make your security walls strong. Creating a password that special characters too is advisable but make one that won't be difficult for your to recall or remember

The only most important thing to secure one's wallet is to keep the seed phrase extremely safe, password or any other security mechanism can be compromised but seed phrase cannot. A combination of strong password with your seed phrase will provide a better security, anyways.

One of the first steps that you can take to secure your Bitcoin wallet is to use cold storage aka storing the Bitcoin values in a hardware wallet. This is also called the offline method since it does not require a link to the internet. This option is not as prone to hacking.
You can also secure your wallets by Creating Backup(s) of Your Wallet.

It is very important to use a strong password/code for wallet if you do not want it be hacked by fraudster. As for me, the way I locked my wallet no one can get in it without my consent, I used 2FA, encryption but I wrote the password and the code keep to some where that not easily to access by any one.
