I was once on a site where the admin was not very active. he also did not have any moderators to look after the site in his absense. That was the reason why the site finally closed.

One of the role of the owner of any website is to priorities is admin as important as the forum or the purpose of the forum because they are the ones who are driving the forum with you.
I think I know which site you are talking about. IN order to run forum successfully, you need to be active, if you cannot be active you need to hire moderators for you site

I don't know if there will be any other answer to this question than yes. I can't see any reason that an admin will give for not being active in the forum by making sure to regulate and monitor activities in the forum. Not being active may cause the forum to fall. That is just my contributions.
Without the presence of an active admin for a forum discussion board or platform, the forum will have no direction and purpose not focus. It will easily drive people and traffic away from the.forum
Well , if the admin has offline engagement through which he sponsors the site and which keeps him busy , He only have to employ moderators to guide the activities in the site why he is aware

Very true, the absence of an admin is a sure sign of that forum crashing. There would be disorder, there would be no one to receive complains and attend to them, there would be no to go through the contents or even make sure the moderators are doing a good job

I don't think the presence of an administrator is really necessary. He or she can assign moderators and workers to carry out any job he needs to do.
