I am a new Adsense user. I am trying to learn how to maximize my Adsense earnings to get high CPC ads and increase CTR.

Based on my understanding, the ads on travel, business, finance, and health niches have a high CPC rate. If ads on these niches appear on your site, you will earn more money per click compared to other ads.

Adsense is contextual advertising and analyzes the visitors' search behavior to show ads on the site. In other words, adsense analyzes the keywords on the website and try to match the ads with the same niche. If your website is about travel, Adsense is likely to show ads related to travel.

Likewise, adsense also shows the ads that visitors previously engaged with on other sites or the ads related to searches made previously. For example, if a user had searched for a hosting company on Google, it is very likely that the ads on the next website he visits will be about hosting.
Detailed post op. But I think ads are run by the niche your site is operating on. And also the interest of your visitors.

Google technology uses such factors as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web, in order to determine what a webpage is about and precisely match Google ads to each page.

Keywords are always golden when it comes to how Google ranks websites which is very essential to search engine optimization. If your website ranks higher, it's good for business.

Google AdSense will check the kind of content and niche you are focusing on to be able to know the kind of ads they will be serving on your website. Another thing they look at is the country you are Blogging from.

I think though even if you run a blog, the tools google will likely use varies, sometimes it could be from the page content and they use that to know the type of advertisment that is suitable for that particular site. They usually have our history and browsing pattern and allocate similarities to us.

The ads that are going to appear on your site is technically determined by what the sponsor wants. About to be more specific if you want a website about a travel agency then you should expect to see ads about travel.
