We all know one or two people that are battling with gambling addiction. They cannot do a day without wasting money and doing giveaway to the bookies. What are some ways you think you can help them overcome their addiction?

First of all you need to help them identify the fact that they are addicted. You should do this tactfully and not bluntly. Then you can help them make plans on how to stop the addiction, like getting busy with their lives, budgeting their income, saving and many more.

You cannot help someone who's addicted to gambling by words of the mouth. The best way to overcome gambling addiction is to replace it with a better addiction. You can start a new hobby like making videos on Youtube, trading cryptocurrency, trading stocks and others.

Personally I think there is absolutely no way to helped out someone who had gotten addicted into gambling because no amount of money you can give him, to convince from not engaging into it with the money

It's very hard to talk with addict they don't understand that it's bad they just think it's good for them and that they make money from gambling it's very hard to help an addict they have to understand themselves they can start a hobby or sometimes that would make them forget

The truth is there is little you can do to help a person addicted to gambling unless the person seek help. Because most of those addicted to gambling don't even know that they are addicted. So, how do you want to help someone who doesn't know that he is addicted?

Personally I think there is absolutely no way to helped someone out when he has gotten too addicted to gambling unless when he decides to quit due to some circumstances that make him think of how it had affected him.

Someone once said the best way to overcome an addiction is to get another addiction. If you are finding it hard to overcome your addiction to gambling, look for something more productive and healthy and get addicted to that instead.

We can only advise any gambling addicted. We can't force him to stop gambling. Through seminars, finding him alternative source of earning. Exposing him to likely dangers associated with gamblings may likely change him.

yea if the person is gambling addicted you need to talk to him to change or reduce his frequent playing of gambling so that way he can look for alternatives ways to earn if gambling was the only option

Yup, the person thinks everything is okay and that gambling is good for them. You can't do much because they won't listen. You can only seek help yourself. Not many people seek help since they don't understand what is wrong with them.

You can help people with gambling addiction, but it's not easy. Addiction is hard to stop for anyone, no matter the vice involved. But it's not like you should sit back and let it go or try and replace their addictions with more addictions. The best bet is to get them the help they need, talk to them, express your concerns, have an intervention if needed. There are ways to help those in need. It's not easy, but it can be done.

Supporting someone with a gambling addiction is a complex issue, and professional help should always be sought. You can play a vital role by offering your support and encouraging the person to seek appropriate treatment and resources.

I don't think there is any way for you to help someone with a gambling addiction that is going to be effective as long as the person is not interested in quitting gambling because it comes with a very bad spirit that you cannot be able to break free from.

If you want to help someone over come gambling addiction, try to give him as much time as you can. If you are with this guy all through the day he will almost forget to gamble. If it is not possible for you to give him time, you can engage him in some other activities, like gaming, watching movies, etc.

In general they will not listen to you, but they may do it when they hit bottom, when the losses are so high that you can not just overlook and think that everything is fine, gambling can become an addiction and one which is very difficult to get out, I once had problems with gambling, But I managed to get out of it looking for activities with which to forget about gambling.

To help someone who is actually addicted to gambling is to keep him busy with some other important things. He could be given a good job where he would not have all the time to participate in gambling anymore..
