These days, the incidence of property scammers is on the increase, so many people are talking victim to property scam on a daily basis and I don't want to be in that statistics.
This is actually my first time of wanting to buy a property so I want to know how I can avoid property scammers.
Please guys how can I avoid property scammers?

First of all you need to look for a trusted and reliable agent who has been in the line of real estate business for so many years, someone who doesn't have any bad record. You should not just start buying properties from someone you don't know anywhere before without the help of an agent.

Buying of property can be so delicate that you need to very careful and apply wisdom.

I would say if the person belong to any properties assocation so as to confirm its geninuity.

Also do a thorough investigation about the property because the purchase.

I best way you can avoid scammers when buying a property is to make you the person very well and his behavior in the society. Make the person provide you with all the needed documents for that property and please cross check to see if they are real documents or not.

My advice to be assured that you are buying a property with an authentic owner is to check with the Land Registration Authority. You can also check with the Assessor's office in the city or town hall. They have the name of the real owner plus the taxes you will know if paid or not. One good reason to buy a property via a bank loan is that the bank will do the investigation on the authenticity of the title. That's what the bank did to our house when we bought it through a bank loan.

To avoid scammers, don't deal with new and unknown agent. And take help of a trusted person who bought a property from an agent .
Don't buy property online,and don't pay advance .

If you want to buy any property make sure you do so through the right means, ask for legal documents and make sure they are duely signed. Go for the tried and trusted agents you can find

Always buy from the right source, buy with proof of ownership. Verify by yourself if the property is a genuine one. By asking people around that knows about the owner and the property in question. They will give you the best answer you need to know. That will enable you to avoid scammers, selling property for you.

Get the Title Deeds, are archives that normally diagram the chain of responsibility for property. Title Deeds are those archives dependent on which the current proprietor can guarantee outright responsibility for property; the beginning of title and other significant data relating to the land can be gotten from it. It is basic that you generally check the title deeds and affirm whether the dealer has the right, title, and interest over the property and the outright ability to sell.

For what reason is this significant?

On the off chance that the title of the land isn't in the vender's name, at that point lawfully, the responsibility for property doesn't have a place with the merchant, and you should avoid this, as it might prompt future questions or potentially suit by different petitioners over the property.

1 Be wary of urgent or rush requests.
As a general rule throughout the process, remember that no one should be pressuring you to make a rushed decision, and no one should have any issue with verifying information or explaining why things have changed, especially if it pertains to sending huge amounts of your hard-earned money to a third party.” — Shah
2 Make sure you’re sending documents safely.
Real estate agents, at times, freely send around contracts as PDF attachments. These are documents containing incredibly personal and sensitive information—everything from the price, deposit terms, loan amounts, closing dates, etc. Instead of sharing these documents via email, which is proven to be less secure, it’s advisable to share them through a transaction management system such as Instanet or Dotloop.”

The best way to know if the original owner of the property is the one who is negotiating, is to go to the cadastre or to the main office of your region, where all the homes are registered with their respective owners. Take a copy of the original document or request the registration number in the cadastre, they verify and confirm you.

Best bet is for you to be on site, that means you have to be there in person to witness it and get a property management lawyer to view the documents.

The incidence of scam keeps on increasing these days. However, there are certain measures to put in place to prevent falling into their traps. We need to buy property from credible source. And make sure it has legal backing with witnesses.

It is a very hectic stress to discover a genuine property documents in this country of ours, the only method I've been using and I've been working for me is enquiry method,I try to go close to people already living in the area to ask about the property and believe me this really works.

To avoid scammers when purchases properties I will suggest you work closely with a legal practitioner. Do not work alone. If you do and it's a scam, they will gladly take advantage of you. But the presence of a lawyer sends some kind of fear to any scammer. Secondly, do a lot of background check, ask a lot of questions about the property. Thirdly, take things slowly and do not be in a haste to make a purchase. Watch out and see if the sellers are mounting pressure on you to quickly close the deal. That may be a sign that it is a bad deal.

There’re steps that needs to be taken in order to ensure you don’t fall victim of scam when trying acquire a land or properties. First request for all legal documents regarding the property and do the necessary verification with the help of your lawyer. Make sure the seller provides a surety who will stand for him/her. All necessary documents are to be surly signed and verified

The trick to avoid scammers when buying properties is by going through an agent. An agent who works for a well known real property acquisition organisation.

Going through this means saves you the the stress of sammers. Because you would be issued certificate for the property you have bought.

If you decide, to go through whoever claims to be an agent without any problem prove, you are at your own risk. Do not be discouraged by price of real estatee agent, it is better than to become a victim of scammers.

You need to do your due diligence and findings very well before you proceed to buy the property. Ask the agents that want to facilitate deal to provide you with track record.

Track record will show you if the agents as done bigger deals than the one you are about to buy through him.

You can enlist the service of Attorney to guide you in the process of the transaction.

I believe there are property lawyers in your location. It's better and advisable to engage their services when buying a new property. It maybe expensive but it will save you from future stress. Your lawyer will do a background check on the property to see if it's in right standing with the government and not in contention with anyone. They also help you draft a legal binding agreement between you and the previous owners.
