So, I was in discussion few weeks ago with some of fellow Manchester United fans about how our transfer window have been going so far when I brought up the issue with our trying to sign De Jong from Barcelona.
One of the guys immediately picked it and told me that he's well aware of all the challenges we have been facing in trying to sign him, saying that he remembered it all. He made it clear that with what's been going with Barcelona having signed 4 new players, they won't be able to register them till they sell another player which De Jong is one option they have to let go.
