I don't think people can hijack your site unless you have given them access to your cpanel and domain registrar account. Just by accessing your website dashboard, no one can hijack your site.

I know that at a time as your website is growing they will be need to hire people to help you updating your website. But, I cannot allow anybody an access to my website admin dashboard. I can't revealed my website password to people. It's too risky, in my own opinion.
