Guerrilla Marketing is a term used for low budget marketing tactics. In other words, Guerrilla Marketing means you market your products or business with a low budget. Marketing on a low budget does not mean your marketing is less effective compared to high budget marketing. In fact Guerrilla Marketing is a low budget marketing that uses aggressive marketing tactics. Some of the marketing tactics used in Guerrilla Marketing marketing are:

Free promotion using social media, bookmarking sites, online communities, etc.

Marketing through flyers, posters, banners, etc.

Placing billboards, sign boards in the public places.

Seminars and webinars

Free courses and trainnings, etc.

Maybe what you mean by low budget is that the business cannot afford to advertise on tv. The billboard is an expensive advertising because it needs a permit to post in public places. With the flyers you need people to distribute the materials. Maybe it is just the free promotion that can be considered low budget marketing.

Billboard can be expensive during the set up but once you set up you do not have spend extra. You can employ students studying marketing in the college to your promotional campaigns and this cost little money. I have seen a lot of companies use low cost but aggressive campaigns in my home country.

Funny enough, this guerilla marketing could be more effective than billboard, as the awareness is targeted and more direct than a billboard

Yes, guerrilla marketing can be very effective as long as you are pitching the right products to the right people. This marketing method is appropriate for lower income people.

First time I read something related to guerrilla marketing. Generally this is identified in most sites as offline marketing. As you explain in your thread it is very low cost but very effective, many entrepreneurs have it set aside from their publications where they miss great opportunities.

Yes though I wouldn't say it's cheaper as lots of marketers will need to be employed to pull this off effectively though it works very well

It is true about hiring specialists, this in the case that entrepreneurs or people interested in such marketing do not have the tools and skills to develop some offline publications. In the case of billboards, specialists are indispensable.

If you want to advertise, you may do it by yourself, however, hiring or setting a marketing team and organizing a marketing campaign is a better way to build interest around your product.

Gorilla marketing is very hard to accomplish if you are not ready for it. In posting free ads on Facebook groups and other forums, you must be consistent in making such meaningful posts and also giving timely responses in engaging your audience. Be ready for the real deal

Actually this is the first time that I am hearing about any marketing strategy known as guerrilla marketing strategy and for the fact that it means low budget marketing is quite an interesting read.

With this meaning I think what I have been doing for my business so far as being guerrilla marketing as I don't spend too much money in my marketing budget.

guerrilla marketing is a term used for marketing tactics where you spend less but do aggressive marketing. You will be using unconventional marketing methods.

I don't think there is anything like a low budget in marketing so far as I am concern once your marketing could reach every jangle needed to o be reach and people could know about you product, you are good to go then.

I agree with you as it was olden days where people use gray hat marketing means you are in between legal and illegal method of marketing and you can get away with better results.

I didn't know they called it 'guerilla marketing, but I think when it comes to marketing the business owner shouldn't hold back. If you run low budget marketing, you might not get your target audience or the number of customers you need as well.

Some marketing methods can be done on a small budget and some campaigns require big budget. For example, you can run facebook ads for just $10, however, to advertise on TV you might need more than $100.

I think I have headed of this kind of marketing before and it is mostly used by people who already have awareness in the market and look to sustain it more.

The issue of low budgeting or guerilla tacktics is a good method of putting out awareness of your products,I remenber a friend of mine who specialises in product promotion for big outfit, they usually engage him and he will inturn bringin more persons onboard to do an aggressive campaign, and the budget is low.

That is a good strategy. You spend less money but do very agressive marketting. Which is great because it will bring you customers but you won't loose alot while doing the marketting. But you have mentioned bill boards. Aren't they so expensive?
