Are there any foreign search engines that are unknown? And could I possibly get my sites to rank on such a search engine? Would it even be a good idea to do?

This is quite funny though. If there is any hidden search engine then I don't think you should bother yourself ranking on them because a lot of people don't use it. You should be worried about your site ranking on Google and not some obscure search engines.

Last time I checked baidu it only showed Chinese version, I did not find Eng language option. The sites I searched on baidu were also indexed on baidu search engine.

Definitely that will be a total waste of money. It is better to invest in search engines that I have been used by a lot of people in order to be successful in your ads.

Baidu is an example of foreign search engine that are not commonly used by the people. Baidu is the Chinese version of Google search engine. also have their own unique search engine called yandex.

Baidu is one of the examples of foreign language search engine. Baidu works in the same way exactly like Google but it is this Chinese version. There is also a Russian version of Google search engine but I can't remember the name for now.

I think it is good to use those search engine to do research on topic about each of the regions. I think some will need translator to get most information from Baidu and Yandex search engine.

That's exactly the point. There are search engine but some of them are just new. Investing on new search engines will be a waste of time. Have you ever invest on new search engine?
