Got me thinking not too long ago regards maths, in fact, I was calculating my total reference on my website and then financing was picked up. How good of your maths skills do you need to do financing with, I mean I'm shocking at maths any day at any time, always has been, point is that the fact that you do need to work out numbers and add it together. Bigger the numbers and bigger the bills more involved. Hell, at times if you have 5 or more loans that's a big workout.

Have anyone got stuck on financing and it's because of your maths skills?

I won't get a job at a bank at all, Get rejected for just not having a level of maths.

If you find good software to help you out, then your math skills might not be so strongly needed. There is QuickBooks that's easy to learn and can help you in all areas of your business and including preparing for taxes. I used to be very good at math but not as much anymore since I don't utilize it often besides basic adding/subtraction. You can find that even Excel spreadsheets can help in doing some of the basic math functions if you know how to use Excel; and if you don't then learn how with YouTube tutorials.

I don't see any higher math than basic algebra being involved with finance. I could be wrong. Anyway, many have a tough time with algebra. I couldn't concentrate in school due to the environment so didn't really grasp it till university.

Anyway, I have heard of a few Calculus things being involved with finance, but honestly, most banking jobs wouldn't require Calculus.

I have always been average in maths but I have realized that the application in finance is a different ball game entirely.

I am pretty good in maths and I can calculate my finances pretty well. I am glad though that there are softwares that can help in that and you can do it all with your phone. Also there are some other aspects of finance that don't involve calculations, so you may be good in math but not good in the other areas.

Yeah, to be accountable to your business and able to calculate your profits and expenses you need to be good in math but Just the basic you don't need to be a professor or some sort

Maths is needed in our dayto day life. For someone good in maths calculating their expenditures shouldn’t be hard but that’s not all. You need to have little or more knowledge on accounting

The two things are closely related as the field of finance requires supernatural skills in mathematics and calculations

For effective day to day activity maths is very much needed. Now talking about maths and finance, you have to be very good at mathematics to operate well at financial institutions because finance comprises of maths and also requires intellectual reasoning which will aid one performance.

What you need in those kind of work is basic mathematics skill. You don't need to solve simultaneous, or quadratic equation to succeed in working in those job option. You you need to know about is knowing basic maths knowledge that's all.

You need a good software in order to do this you don't need to rack your brain in order to calculate. The only thing you need is basic arithmetic and rudiments of mathematics. You need to be familiar with basic formulas. You don't really need in-depth knowledge of mathematics

Mathematics in some aspects goes inline with with management of finance, it's is needed, you need some tips or learn how to balance your account and post your account. So you must understand mathematics very well before you could run and manage finance effectively

One do not need to be too good in mathematics before he can carry out financial calculation.
A basic knowledge of mathematics can be sufficient ,because with the help of calculator , you can be able to solve the calculation .
The only aspect for good mathematics skills is the advance finance calculation

Personally, I suck as maths. I only managed to get a pass mark during my college in the subject and ever since then, I have tried my very best to avoid getting entangled with maths.

Math is an important part of the financial specialist occupations, but the focus of the math you will do as a finance professional is on practical applications of business concepts, not advanced theory. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that math skills are important for financial analysts, financial examiners, personal financial advisors, budget analysts, cost analysts and many other business and finance careers.

Well if you have terrible math skills,I think it is understandable why you would find finance a bit complicated. I think it is better to hire people to help with the books, however it is also important to have a bit of know-how,to avoid problems.

This makes no sense, being bad in math doesn't mean your business will be failed, in bigger businesses, there are employees for that, in smaller businesses, you will have one side calculating for you, so don't worry (also calculators exist for a reason)

You do not have to be discouraged by the hectic process of calculation in maths. If you are not lazy for work, you find it interesting to do. tell your self it is easy and I can do it, that's the spirit, then you are doing well in it.
