Family versus Job/business, which among the two is most important?

Business is very important ina mans life but family is much more important, family decides what step to take to go forward. Besides without family we are nobody, family are source of inspiration. You can survive with your family but without your family you might be able to succeed

Both your family and your job are important. But I think before the job, your family has been and after the job, your family will still be so your family should be prioritised over your job/business.

The two are very important of our lives, because you are doing work because of vending for family and you won't have a good family if you are not working.you must find a way of balancing the two so as not to affect one another, you must find a master plan for not to affect each other.

Well you have to find a way to balance the two together, you need job to sustain the family and cater for their needs and you need family to also take Care of you in some aspect because you retire from your job it will be your family(children) to take care of you, so both are very important, you can't choose you just have to find a way to balance the two

As a much you need money to keep the home running, do you think your job/business comes before your family or vice-versa?
This type of comparing does not even fit, they are both very important in their own aspect. Families are the sole reason we work, to take good care of them. So you cannot put them against each other like that.

Both of them are very important. Family is your support system for when you are feeling down but you can't provide for your family if you don't have a job or business. We just need to strike a balance between the two. Both are important.

Family and jobs are two entirely different things. The importance of family in our lives should not be taken lightly. Why do we even work in the first place? To take care of our family. So there you go
The importance of family can never be overemphasized, they will always be there no matter what and in order to take care of our family we get a job.

This statement – “your family is more important than your job” – is one of the most valuable lessons I have learned in my leadership development. So important, in fact, that over the years it has been one of the more frequent statements that I have shared with others in conversations about job decisions, especially when they have come to me struggling over what the best decision is for their family. The lesson initially came home to me shortly after I had stepped into my first senior leadership role.

I had been working in an organization where I had been very effective, and had played an important role in helping to bring about valuable and significant change. It seemed that I had been able to have positive influence on the organization and on many people within and connected to the organization. Looking back, I can see that my ego was being fed, and I was becoming prideful in my perspective. In the development of my personal work ethic, I had been taught to work in such a way that I would become more important to the organization than the organization was to me, but in my pride, this grew into the sentiment that I was invaluable to the company. I began to believe that if I were to ever leave, the organization would suffer and would take a noticeable step backward.

And then it happened. I was given an opportunity to become the leader of another organization, one that was experiencing struggle and decline. Although I had anxiety about whether or not I was prepared or capable, and about the unknown of this new experience, I was also excited, and anticipating the chance to again be an agent of change. My family was very supportive and excited along with me, encouraged me in this opportunity, and embraced the prospect of this new experience. So, we loaded a moving truck, packed up our family, and moved a thousand miles away to a new home and a new life.

As I left the previous company, I secretly believed that my loss would hurt, and even had the arrogance to think that it would require two people to replace all that I was doing. I imagined in my mind that I would soon be hearing about how much they missed me, and how much they realized I had meant to them. But then, the unthinkable happened – they moved on without me! They hired someone else with his own set of skills and passion, they adjusted, and they continued to move forward. Meanwhile, I was struggling to win the support and trust of a skeptical group of people who had no idea what I had accomplished or what I could do.

It was then that I began to realize I was not irreplaceable. I figured out that, other than in my own mind, none of my accomplishments came with me. Don’t get me wrong here – the experience came with me, which was very valuable in helping me to do the job well. But this new group of people didn’t know and didn’t care what I had done someplace else. And all of a sudden, the only thing I had left to support and encourage me was my family. I realized that I had actually been pouring my energies into accomplishment at work at the expense of my family. I also realized that at any time I could lose or leave that job, but if that happened and I lost everything that came with my work (including recognition and accomplishment), I would still have my family. Like switching on a light, I suddenly understood that my family was more important than my job. Life moves on, jobs and careers change, and although I may have some influence and leave behind an impact, just about he only thing that goes with me moving forward is my family. So if my job is costing me my family, the job needs to go before my family does.

This is one of the most important lessons you could learn. It is a “meaning and contentment of life” type of statement. No one is irreplaceable. When you leave an organization or a job, remember that they will move on without you, but your family will be the one thing goes with you. Never forget that your family is more important than your job.

this is a very crucial discussion.family as well as business are very essential in your life,no matter how bad your family can be they will always be your treasure business provide source of livelihood for the family and without business, the existence of the family won't be complete because money is the bedrock of most happy gomes

Some people really have this problem of not knowing their priorities and follow them first. We live for our families because without them we are simply nothing. The money you chase down so hard to make is absolutely useless if there is no family to enjoy it with.
Exactly, now you come. Family is everything ok and can not be compared to ordinary job.
We need to make our family a priority bringing it first before anything else.
Job to me is not bad but it will be a mistake to compare it with family.

Your family should be your reason why you need a job or business. In all cases family should be the top priority rather than anything else. Our family will also serve as our motivation to strive our best for our job.

I am thinking controversial to all of you I think job is very important because if you don't have family then you can still do job but if you don't have job you cannot support your family.
So before making a family you should have a job or business in which you can earn enough money that you can meet the needs of your family.

Both are important in their own right. They need a job to support themselves. In my opinion, if a person has a family, he does his job better and he has a commitment to do the job so that he can try to take care of his family easily. But if you look, it is more than a job for a person because only through a job can a person make a good family.

The importance of family can never be overemphasized, they will always be there no matter what and in order to take care of our family we get a job.
I know that. I'm not discarding the importance of family in our lives, and I know they are the ones we have in the end. But when it comes to business matters, family should not put it at risk by picking things without paying. It shows lack of regards for ones means of livelihood.

Family should come first, money is needed to get basic things and satisfy family members. We should always make out time to stay and bond with our family members. The real issue is you trying to paint these two things as being in opposition to each other. So even though family is everything, money is key and that can be gotten through jobs and businesses.

Money and family are indeed important but not equally. Focusing too much on earning will affect the connection you can have with your family members. On the other hand, focusing too much on family time may sacrifice time we spend on earning a good future for them.

Family first
No person puts business first in place of family.
Business improves your life financially and some little stuffs, but family gives you life and happiness and even mixed feelings.

family should always bbe put first before our job/business because family is the major unit in the society. and the purpose of having or doing a job /businesses is to take care of the family. That why we need to put family first before job /businesses

They are incomparable, family is more important than your job, one of the reason we are working hard is because of family, a job only gives money but a family gives much more, family is always there both in good and bad times.

Family is in every way more important than job/business. The reason for the Hustle is for the family after all. Job or business gives one monetary value but family gives more. Family is always present you can loss a job or fail in a business.
