Electric vehicles, when do you think they will become mainstream?

Electric vehicles are a reality today, but they are still far from being the most used vehicles in the world, due to difficulties in infrastructure, purchase prices, maintenance, autonomy, and financial aid from states to help their adoption.

knowing this, when do you think these vehicles will become mainstream?

I think EV will soon become mainstream because of the rising cost of fossil fuel. However, for the EV market to be well developed, the countries also need to work on green energy like hydro electricity or solar power.
