When you hire anyone to work for you, do you vet them? As in check into their history, including any criminal history. Do you always look into the people you hire? And if so, how far do you dig? Do you do a traditional background check?

My work doesn't allow me to start checking into the background of my workers , though its very important to vet into their history just for security purpose , but some work doesn't require that .

Relationship that I am having with everybody on my workplace is only going to remain at that because their personal life is really their problem. I can only recommend them based on our relationship.

In practice, it is not required to thoroughly check out every employee you recruit because doing so could be expensive and time-consuming. Instead, you ought to evaluate every employment responsibility to see if a thorough investigation is required.

Of course it is very important to do that so that he will know whether the person you want to employee is fit for the position or not. So you must vet the person thoroughly.

This is how it is supposed to be because there are some kind of hypocrisy that comes with having an external relationship with one of your business partners or one of the workers in your company

For me, if I hire you and before you start working for me, I must know you to your house, your parents and your religious leaders. That way, I feel I am covered in case you decided to discount your morality and do things that are bad.

It is mandatory to vet anyone you want to hire in your business, most especially if the person is in the financial department . It is not going to speak well if employees are not properly investigated.

These days I mostly hire people online and these people work for me remotely. I only check if they can handle my work and if they are sincere. I will of course check their portfolios before hiring.

I go as far as digging into your religious background. You must bring a letter of attestation from your religious leader before I think of employing you. The level of criminality is too much this days.

Nowadays we do not have to do it as there are agencies that will do all the background check as well as vet their documents too.

If you are running a bigger busuness , you will always want to be careful in everything you do most especially with the people working for you and that's why most boss vet their workers just to be on the safer side .

So far i do not have anyone working for me, since i am simply running a small business, but i believe this should be the best thing to do, it is very important you know does who you are working with to be able to build trust and understand who they really are.
