Do you tend to spend a lot on vacations? I don't take many vacations myself, but when I do, I try to go somewhere fun. It doesn't need to be expensive. But maybe sometimes we deserve to splurge and have a good vacation right?

I do take regular vacations with family. I always plan my trips in advance and make sure to stay in decent affordable hotels.

That's great! That's usually the best way to do it. I wish I could just stop what I'm doing and go on vacation. I want to plan a vacation soon actually, but money has been tight. Hopefully I can make it happen this summer.

As I take vacations very rarely, when I do go I go ahead and spend quite a bit since it's a rare occasion. My honeymoon in Tennessee was expensive, but mostly because the cabin as well as all the things we purchased while we were there, but it was completely worth it. Easily spent probably 2,000 lol. I really want to go to Disney World and I know that will be an expensive trip, but I'm willing to for the experience!
My budget can't let me spend a lot when I am on vacations. So, I am always mindful and focus on going on vacations once in a year to avoid making lots of expenses. I want to ensure that I build more financial capacity before I can start going to multiple vacations in a year from now on.
Before I plan on going on any kind of vacation I try as much as possible to work with a budget that is going to ensure that I don't overspend on that vacation because there are so many other responsibilities I need to take care of even though I need the vacation to be able to take care of myself mentally, physically and emotionally.

There are agencies that are always there to help you plan. They have packages that go for a certain price, and being able to pick the one that suits your budget make it easier to have fun at your holiday. This is one thing that I always advise anyone planning to go on a vacation.
Those agencies get paid for offering you those services, I know about them very well but I have never been interested in using their planning services. I know how to plan my vacation budgeting very well. I have been doing it for years, so I need not pay anyone or an agency to help me do it.
If you have your way with proper planning and budgeting, then there is no need to pay the agencies. The point is that there are people who will need some help with planning their vacation, and getting those agencies involved is what is going to be of great help to them at the end of the day.

Yeah, that's very correct. There are some people who lack when it comes to being able to plan and budget their own vacation. Without getting extra help to do it, they will find themselves wanting and that's going to screw up their vacation or even make it impossible for them to go.
I don't really spend a lot on my vacations. It always within 20% of my monthly income. Maybe because I'm yet to go on an expensive vacation, like a world tour maybe.
It is the amount of money that you are making that is going to determine how much you are going to be willing to spend on your vacation. This is because there is no way you can spend more than what you make especially when you have other responsibilities to take care of from the same money that you are making from your work.

No, I don't spend too much on my vacation. If it's possible to scrap my vacation to stop my spending on it, I would do it but my body needs the treatment once in a year. All work and no play, makes me a dull man.
It's good to have time for yourself and take very good care of yourself. Everything that you're doing in terms of work should make room for the betterment of your life. If you work, take time to rest. It's when your body is in good condition that you can work well.
Using only 20% of your monthly payment for your vacation needs isn't too bad. It's vacation is what most people go to once in a year. Spending 20% of your income for that month isn't asking for too much.

There are so many people who spend way more than 20% of their monthly income on their vacation whenever it's time for them to go on such vacation.
I think a friend of mine spent nearly everything he was paid in a month on his vacation. He was very happy to do it because according to him, he needed the luxury he got from the vacation.
