I guess so, because I have installed it and done the settings but I can't seem to find any changes to my website when I Google it

As far as I know doing seo on your site today will not bring results tomorrow. It takes time.

Submit your site to google search console, This will help google index you site faster. You can also ping your all pages on google.

Ping or pining means you are informing search engines about your website and web content. When they know about your website and web pages, website/content ranking on the search result will speed up. You will need google search console account for this purpose.

This remind me of my long created website that I have for one reason like that,but I really don't know how to do the SEO to my website, because seeing this post make me understand more about it and I will do some research about it more again to be able to do it myself.
