Institutional investors are the type of investors who undertake the responsibility of investing money offered by some other investors. This may also involve private investors or companies as well. However, since they undertake the responsibility of investing, do they really offer any kind of guarantee as well?

I think using investing pools like ETFs and Mutual Funds can be less risky compared to investing directly. Even though these investment pools are also under market risk, some fund managers provide guaranteed return.

No, institutional investors do not offer any kind of guarantee to individual investors. Institutional investors, such as hedge funds, mutual funds, and pension funds, invest on behalf of their clients or members and are subject to the same market risks as individual investors. While institutional investors may have access to more information and resources than individual investors, they are still subject to the same market conditions and risks as everyone else. There is no guarantee that their investment strategies will be successful, and they are not able to provide any guarantees to individual investors.
