For now the only way to monetize your Facebook account is but advertising your goods and services and getting customers, other than that I think you will get paid by the company for using the site.
Infact you pay Facebook for posting ads or to get more people to see your ad.
Maybe if people find a more viable site that pays users Facebook will start paying to keep users.

There is no way you can use Facebook for it to pay you money from their account like Google used to do with their Adsense services. Rather, Facebook will charge you to drive traffic to your page and help you to sell your products by yourself.
