Some landlords makes renting out their houses as a means of business, i have a landlord that owns like 3houses with almost sixteen rooms and he is a retired civil servant, he used his pension on real estate and hes doing fine.
Just like someone said up there, becoming a landlord is a good thing, but if you fall into the hands of some very wicked tenant, they'll use the excuse of the law and not pay you your money

Becoming a landlord requires one to acquire the landed property and get the necessary legal documents to back up the owner of the land. And then contract the services of an expert in the building project.
I agree with you @GIFTMICHAEL ,we all want a property in Real Estate. I am one of them, and it is in my future plans, I know it is not easy but with perseverance and acquiring the necessary capital somehow I will achieve it.
Obviously owning land is a very big achievement. If you own a land or a house, you can rent it out and earn a good amount of income doing nothing. On the other hand, you can definitely own a place and start your own business. There are a lot of options open and available for you. Obviously, the location of your land or property also plays a crucial role, too.

Becoming a landlord is a lucrative business to do. Especially when it turns out to be very profitable, location should of course be considered. And the type of building as well.
I think that becoming a landlord alone is not sufficient enough. You actually need to utilize your sources and prepare a proper strategy plan in order to earn a living. You can own a land and then sell it for a much better price and then buy another land and then sell it again for a better price. You may construct property and rent it out.

Becoming a landlord you need to consider which location you will love to build, this is because in the Urban areas house are more expensive there and you will make more profit but in the ruler area house are too cheap.
