As a business owner, would you offer free higher education or training for your employees?

I know some businesses do this. They will offer specialized training, certification, and higher education options to advance in the company. Most of the time the company itself is covering the cost of this or at least paying a percentage of it.

As a business owner, would you offer free higher education or training for your employees? Is this something you would consider in the future for your business if you are not already doing it?
Whe it comes to performance and efficiency a good workforce is the backbone to doing this, and their training is very important and crucial to the contineous profitable running of any organisation,it is very much ok.

Yeah this seems to be the case for most places. Not all, but certainly most. I think you are better off working for smaller niche businesses for this reason as they will grow and expand while you are on the team leading to more opportunities.
Except in such an organisation , but mostly this is likely to be a private business organisation here and you may not likely get pension after retirement . Most people are not particularly interested in this.

Having an experienced staff is certainly a good thing to do. There are many people who hire experienced people only. This is because experience could certainly play crucial role.

That is jut the bottom line, because you need the expertise that a thorough training could afford, because the contineous profitable existence of the organisation depend on the competence of the workers.

That is something else to consider. I think it just all depends on who you work for. The place I work for is not a big one, maybe 15 employees but we have insurance and will have all sorts of benefits when we retire.

So you would invest in your workers from your own pocket (or the company's pocket) then? I think there are tax benefits for this, at least in the US.

Well, I think I will always ensure my staff gets the best of every training and skill available to them in the course of working for me. It will build them individually and also ensure that they put in such skills in the workplace.

That makes the most sense. Focusing on what benefits you and your company the most. Even if you invest in a worker and they later leave, there is a good chance they can also teach others along the way.

Actually if offering free academic or education or training to my employees is at my own advantages then I can't hesitate to give them the best or equipped them to worked for me more effectively.

Some places in the US (certain states) will encourage this as well by offering company tax rebates. So the company pays for the training/education and ends up making some of that money back.

I understand your point. The company or business organization can also support the employee in question to acquire new skills by subsiding the fees to be paid by such employee.

training your employees is very important and necessary. There are several businesses that always do this whenever they want to employ people. They bring about two weeks or more to train them properly in order to work in the business.

Yeah they give them incentives to reward and benefit their employees while helping out the business as well. It sounds like a win-win to me!

I do not think that many companies would offer free education until or unless they are offering some sort of scholarship programs to employees who are talented and have performed well.

Actually if my company will have the financial strength to sponsor my employees for higher education then I will definitely do it because I believe the training will helped to improve productivity of my company with new ideas and skills.

It's not possible. The only thing they would offer you is few months of training in order for you to work effectively in their business. I don't think any business will spend much money on their workers education because it's a prerequisite to get a job.

Yes. Offering employees free higher education or training can be a great way to keep them motivated and up-to-date on the latest industry trends. By providing access to learning opportunities, you are not only enhancing their skillset, but you are also demonstrating your commitment to their development. This can result in a more engaged and productive workforce, which can lead to better business outcomes.

Would you say investing in this kind of training and covering the costs would be an incentive for employees to stay? I know some might leave but would you think most would find this to be more rewarding?

I get your point. I think the education or training offered isn't always formal but it is dedicated towards improving the skills and knowledge of the employees with regards to the job or organization.

I would prefer more training for my employees because most tertiary institutions are now on strike, and one can use the internet to also learn new things actually.

Personally I can only offer such kind of promo to my employees when I know it's at my own advantages because alot of companies have don so, and end up regretting.
