Are promotion webmaster forums worth it? Free advertising?

Promotion forums are the ones that are still running somewhat successfully compare to other niches. The reason is simple; people use them to get the word out for their websites and leave. Very few will stay as valuable contributors, and sadly the rest remains a big list of numbers.

If you are one of those, then read the article and change your thinking, as your use of promotion forums is to paste the link of your websites and never show up again. This may sound good to you but seriously, if you want to promote your website, do it properly, and people will most likely join your forum as a regular member. Otherwise, your promoted website will not be seen by most members as your posted ad is no were to be seen by new members or those who never came across your site.

We all rely on promotion forums and don’t be surprised, even those who own promotion forum, they need the place to advertise their forum. How else will they get the users if it is not advertised?

Fair enough, there are social media that also allow you to advertise for free. But it’s minimal as those who are on social media are usually not keen on forums. Your best bet is to focus on promotion forums, and by being a regular member, you are most likely to gain few extra members from promotion forums.

Avoid the hype of some new promotion forums.

Nowadays, you see forums popping up daily, and the owner usually calls it the next big “promotion forum,” this is something I don’t like simply for a reason, that mostly like those, are the site that is going offline within few months of opening.

The owners give up as the expectations exceed their potential. Thus, the owner has no choice but to take it down. But let’s be honest, who would join their next big thing if they are not even known on those well-known promotion forums.

Let’s face it, and if you open a forum with 15 different IDs and start the conversation between those, you would get bored. You may attract few users by this method, but it’s not good in the long run. This is why the promotion forum is such a niche that it will remain on top as there will never be enough promotion forums; everyone welcomes promotion forums so they can advertise on one extra place for free.

However, if you see “the next big promotion” forum open again, give it some time before posting an ad, see if the forum is still open after a month and has few posts. Otherwise, your advertising is wasted, and your time on that forum as well.

Anyways back to the topic. How exactly does one justify their time on a promotion forum?

It’s simple but very effective.

Step 1, The introduction and Welcome: This is one of the best method in gaining an extra member for your community.
Introduce yourself to the community make yourself know on your very first post. This gives the impression that you are there solely to paste the link and never come back. Make sure to avoid adding a link on the first few posts to your website as this will not go well with other users and may even get you the warning, or some admins may decide to ban you for this.

Get the community’s feelings, read the rules and try to follow those rules of every promotion forum you visit. Every web admin has different rules. Read them and advertise when you have fully satisfied the requirements of each forum. If you find reading the rules boring or hard to follow, then look at other members, mainly established members or the one whose post convinced you to sign up to this forum in the first place. Let them be an example for you; they are not there to add up numbers on the forum, are they? They are online greeting members daily; how is this effective, you may ask? Oh, you just don’t know, do you? This little introduction can lead to magic; each visitor you welcome with a signature link might attract that user towards your site. Or even if they avoid visiting or being a member of your forum, don’t worry; they will take notice of you and may help when needed. For example, you may require staff for the forum or website; they would consider helping you instead of someone grumpy or never keen to welcome any member. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you help a person who solely goes to the forum and gets the minimum requirement and post a link and never shows up? Of course, you don’t.

Step 2: Use all the services provided by the promotion forums: They are for free or at most at a forum cash which are easy to get
Posting Packages and Review services are most common on almost all promotion forums. Both are very useful, take, for example, a posting package; this is a service where a staff member of the promotion forum will join your forum as a user and post the amount of post requested on your forum.

A review service is similar, but instead of posting on your forum, a staff member will provide feedback on your forum and know where you need changes to make the forum stand out more.

Take the reviewer’s advice and feedback, but don’t completely change your forum according to the reviewer. Most are biased or simply have a job to review each site, and they can’t spend hours getting to see each website in detail. They pick on basic errors that need changing on your websites, such as theme backgrounds, logos, and post counts or posts’ qualities.

Yes, it’s helpful, so use it, but don’t over, do it. You are the boss. You decide, not others. If someone says your theme is plain and boring, they may not be wrong, but it’s you who chose that color.

Ask on another promotion forum, see what their reviewer says about your website. There are always two sides to a story, as they say. But simply being arrogant is not good; just because you think to feel your website looks the best does not mean others think the same. So always take positive signs to improve your website, even if it removes the theme you like most. But like I said earlier, the limit is the key to success.

Step 3 Exchanges: Post exchanges with other members can improve your website activity
Most promotion forums have a section where you could exchange posts for posts. It’s as simple as your post on my forum, and I shall return the favor. It sounds boring as you have no choice but to post on forums you may not like. But you do have a choice to say no to those niches and continue on exchanges with the ones you’re familiar with. You may disagree with me, but exchanging posts or social media with others can lead you to be an established member of a forum. You will get the reputation for each exchange you complete, and some may even leave feedback for your posts. This will give you a better chance of getting more regular members, and some may even have started as an exchange of posts but turned out to be an established member on your website.

Step 4 The job boards: Hire someone who would help you in running your website
Every one of us is limited on time for running our websites. Hiring someone may not be something you are used to, or you feel they may mess up your website or may not run the forum the way you want them to. But still, you must hire someone who would help you to run your website along with. It does help at least seeing posts of another member even if they are your staff members. It does not sound great, but it’s good that someone will give you company in getting more posts; slowly, the forum will build up, and new users will join.

If you followed the above method properly, you should have no hiring issues, as people will trust you and know you better as a person. Don’t worry; some people are kind and helpful for free as volunteers. Don’t judge a person without working with them; see how they run your forum in your absence; if you feel they are not the ones you wanted, replace them. You are the boss you decide but bear in mind; you have volunteers, don’t expect them to do everything for you. If you decide to remain the only staff on your forum, you might likely remain the only member of your forum.

Those are all the tips I will share for now. If you wish to add some more, do leave your reply in the comment box below, and we shall add the ones we feel need adding.

The promotion webmasters forum and really worth it since they promote and advertise stuffs and to some extent it is helpful to others

True, this is well said. It is obvious that in order to get your product or service out there, you really must have the support or backing of existing reputable sites or forums. And that is where these forums come in. I totally agree they add value. And even in terms of ranking on the SERP, the mention on such reputable forums goes a long way in terms of building your reputation and online presence

Between 2016 and 2019, I was active on a lot of webmaster forums where I tried to promote my websites and services, as well as list my websites for sale. I did mange to get some traffic from these forums but I could not sell services or websites.

I have tried promoting my website through promotional webmaster forums but I did not benefit much as most of the members are also website owners and they are not interested in other websites

This is a good way to promote forum on any market place but sadly new forum owners are not always consistent with the way they promote their forum and maybe they think like it can just get traffic to there website overnight

I do not have anything to promote, however, if I had a blog or a website, I would definitely use a free promotion method like this one. By using these sites you have nothing to lose.

Of course, promotion web master's forum are really worth it because this is an interesting place where one can promote forums.

I have been posting on forums since 2015. I have posted on a lot of forums, including web master forums. In my opinion, webmaster forums are really helpful for website owners and web masters. Let say, you have a blog but your posts do not have quality comments, you can use posting service on webmaster forums to drive comments on your blog. This is just one benefit.

Most of them are providing you free tutorials and help and maintenance tricks about the installation of different software where could be provided by particulars but for a paid fee for service then you can be on forums of web mastering it is better.

I don't think they're a waste of time. Nonetheless, for someone wanting to make money, it shouldn't be your only thing. I mean, it seems like a lot of the forums are hobby forums, stuff made for fun.

Anyway, if your forum is very niche specific, you also might find promotional forums to not be enough, even if you're just a hobbyist. In other words, you need to reach out and get to the niche audience

Forums offer privacy and the possibility of anonymous discussions, and posting good answers on forums that allow promotion gives you backlinks.

Webmasters' websites are very useful for aspiring bloggers and forum creators. They teach their users to implement the latest technologies. You can also connect with like-minded people. Can get your doubts cleared, when you participate in forum discussions and in chats. You can learn about the latest trends in the blogging and forum world by being a part of these websites.

Such places could be a gold mine for people selling things related to web development. Well, that makes sense. However, though, while people might find other forum types interesting, a person (from a non-web type forum) might have more luck with ads other places, even though ads in promotional forums wouldn't be a waste of time. Well, actually, that would be far from the truth considering the value of post exchanges, possible hires to do work, and the educational stuff found.

This is a very detailed and it is a well written post as well and i think that forums can be a very good source of income for a lot of people even if you are just posting on it. I got involved with forums a few years back and i have stuck with it.

Great article. And well said. I will just add that the amount of competition for the same audience. However, in general, promotion webmaster forums can be a valuable resource for free advertising and for getting feedback on your website or blog. By participating in discussions and providing helpful information, you can build up a following of people who are interested in what you have to say. In addition, many forums allow you to include a link to your website in your signature file, which can help to drive traffic your way.

I honestly don't know if promotion webmaster forums are worth it since i've never made use of it myself. It seems like it could be worth it. I don't know for sure though.

Everything is going to boil them to the number of people who are using these websites in the first place. If you think that it is going to be in the eyes of many people then you can advertise there.

These are great points you've highlighted and even though I'm not a forum owner, I can take some of these lessons and apply to generating traffic for my affiliate business or links. Thanks once again for this.
