I think a lot of people are now aware of freelancing and have started to earn on freelance sites. Prior to the pandemic, the number of people on freelance sites wasn't as huge as it is now.

More people are using freelance site than ever before to be sincere mostly now that the pandemic is going on many business has been close and people looking for additional way to earn a living so they are all searching for a freelance site to earn from,some people work as marketer while others do some thing else there are alot of site which we can earn money from some of then are survey and others gpt site
At least more people are using the freelance platform everyday ,a lot of people are always interested in becoming a freelancer in one way or the other .freelancer is more popular nowadays since it is one of the best way of making money online and one of the best way to have your job delivered within a short period of time.

Yes. The population of those on freelancing sites was not as high as it is prior to the pandemic and economic recession. Despite the huge population of freelancers, only a number of them get hired for jobs.
This is the case on fiverr as only selected few are winning most of the project and jobs available from the clients. Large majority of the level one seller and label to Sellers scramble for the rest of the job of a left. There are some sellers who goes for many days without winning a contract or job.
New freelance sites are popping up, thereby encouraging a huge number of people on the sites.
I feel more people have used freelance sites than ever, there are sites with a whooping number of registrations daily.
With this, the competition on these sites keep increasing.

Since the advent of pandemic outbreak and lockdown, play amount of freelancer online has increased as people are looking for more ways to make money. Freelancing is one of the top 10 ways people make money online and newbies discovered this when they are making a search on Google search engine.
I believe also that was the only time in which people were very much interested to use the freelance platform because most people were not able to get out then ,so a lot of people were staying at home engaging in one online activities or the other... Are you a Freelancer ?

I was once a freelancer in the past but I have to quit when the competition is too much and the clients are taking advantage of the system in favour of them. I am planning to create online business that will give me full control on the amount I can make at a particular period.

Taking advantage like how ? If I have an opportunity to be a freelancer I could have been in the system for as long as I can stay, so does it really mean that you are not able to get any work to do ?
Yes I was unable to get much work as it was in the past. The reason is that the system is putting the top rated sellers in favour of the most job than anyone else. It is difficult for new sellers to make money on the platform.
So that means if I am going into freelancing now I won't have an opportunity to make money as a newbie ? You should have continued to keep and increase your rating, by now and you could have been a top professional in the system.

if you are creative enough you are going to make money as a new seller in a freelance Marketplace. You just have to avoid what other people are doing in order to stand out from the crowd. Think of a service that is not common in the marketplace and start offering them.
Freelance site are not like before,due to the covid-19 pandemic. These affecting many sites and they have not be recovered. They may recover this site to the maximum level again like before to satisfy people that make money on this site.
