I just hope it won't be banned with time because most people may end up getting addicted to the lotteries thereby causing mental and physical retardation.

Why are my country it has always been 18 years anyone less than 18 cannot play lottery because he is not yet an adult and does not have responsibility over himself. In my country the age limit to play lottery or gambling is from 18 above, without that government cannot allow such thing to happen here at all.
I believe every bet age limit has always been 18 but like I would tell people it's just a way of milking your hard earns because only 1% go home smiling out of 100% so they call you luckyAs part of the government's campaign to combat problem gambling, the minimum legal age to join the National Lottery will be raised from 16 to 18 this year. Under-18s will be prohibited from purchasing National Lottery tickets and scratchcards in stores starting on 22 April 2021, players must be 18 or over to play National Lottery games online, in-store, and on the app

According to the government, the National Lottery's games have evolved greatly over time, with an increasing shift toward online and instant win games like scratchcards. It claims that the current minimum age would prevent the National Lottery from being a "gateway to problem gambling." The government intends to look at ways it can help protect online gamblers in its study, including setting caps on online stakes, updating the regulations on advertisements and promotional deals, and providing additional safeguards for young people.
That is the way to go, my concern is how the government will be able to identify under 18 who may want to play on online. I believe they have a way of identifying them. That couldn't not be said here in my country the gambling age is 18 and above on paper but in reality, we have lots of under age teenagers gambling. As part of the government's campaign to combat problem gambling, the minimum legal age to join the National Lottery will be raised from 16 to 18 this year. But even with this don't you think some of them are even doing it secretly, even after the government has made rules and regulation against illegal age from engaging in lottery , a lot of them will still engage in it after all the government has not made adequate preparation for this law to be active. The government placed sanctions on individuals who are below the age of 18 to play lottery or gamble. If anyone allows under age in his bet shop, he will be held responsible.
National lottery is not a corrupt practices but sometimes if children are addicted to it at such Early stage , it could be a serious addiction that will be very much difficult for them to stop in their lives.I think that is a better ways of protecting our younger generation from being corrupt. Most times when you are below 18, you are responsible to your parent control but exceeding, you are on your own to protect yourself.
Yea, its better that way. Lottery is like a gambling and people must be up to the age of 18 before making their own personal decision if they are to engage in it or not. I love it.This is something that really comes as a welcome development to me. Believe that the government should be doing much in order to protect people from occasions like this as anybody who is lower than that cannot make sustainable decisions for themselves.
That is one thing. They are not keeping to the rules and regulation of the government. Even if government have to make it for 18 year old and above , those vendors will still allow people below that age to playThis will depend on the ccountry which you are operating from in my country anyone can play lottery those lottery vendours are even looking for people to collect money for their daily bread.
So even a 10yrs old child can play lottery, but I beleive official age for that is just about 16yrs
Does your country ban it for religious reasons? I have seen that in Muslim countries it is forbidden for this issue, in my country gambling is legal, and therefore the government also has its lotteries and the minimum age to participate in them is 18 years of age, which is understandable and correct. There are no lotteries i my home country, our government considers lotteries to be gambling and gambling is strictly prohibited. However, I believe that in countries where a lottery is legal, there should be the minimum age to participate in lotteries. We should not allow young people to lose money by playing lotteries.

Yes, they have many rules, but I think that the people who live in these countries are used to it, I have nothing against gambling either, and I don't think that prohibiting it is the solution, because that will only lead to more crimes related to gambling activitiesSeriously, I have a big indifference when it comes to living in any of Muslim countries that I have friends and relatives staying. There are so many things that goes against their rules I can't deal with. I don't even have any problems with gambling and betting but when I can't drink my alcoholic beverages there, I won't love living there.

I believe that regulating the industry appropriately is the most correct thing to minimize gambling and keep it under control.
It should be 18 years because from all the advertisement I've seen on TV, they says it's for adults from the age of 18. I've never played any lottery or gamble, I know they are high risk program with small chance of winning. It's why I don't engage in any of them.
Are there any age restrictions on products like Alcohol, Fireworks, Tobacco etc?
In the different cases like for my country they don't really bloody care how old are you in fact your age doesn't matter to them when you come to their shop to patronage them. They only care the money you come alone with, Lol.
Unfortunately, betting and gambling companies goes to any length just to make sure that they have their business in the eyes of everyone. They don't care if it's kids or adults, but as long as they have their business moving, they are very good.
Purchasing lottery tickets is also a kind of gambling as well. You tend to contribute a small amount of money in order to "win" the prize money. So, in essence you are betting money. This is why there are so many people who are also addicted to this bad habit of gambling.
