A shop with multiple of items is best if you ask me. It is because you get to see that many customers will be trooping in because they know they will find what they want to buy in your shop. You must do a general survey to certain what people really buy frequently to reduce losses
 
There are many varieties of things in a shop. How much variety will a shopkeeper keep in his ear? His sales will be so high. People come to the shop according to the variety. There is more variety. There is an increase in stone. It is very important to have AT to improve the shopkeeping
 
You should go for selling variety of products it will be difficult to advertise it but if you do proper advertisement then you will get profit from multiple items. The more products you will have in your shop the more chance you will have that customer will find more products from them to buy. It will be so much work at start but it will be worth working for when you start getting enough profit.
 
Selling different items is better especially items that you know would satisfy consumer needs, because selling a particular item will limit your customers to your store and when they come to your store and they don't see what they are looking for, they go somewhere else. So study your environment, take note of those items that you feel will be useful in this environment and you stock them up in your shop.
 
A variety store may not be the first place a customer looks to for brand name items, but that's where you as a store owner can surprise and delight -- by offering high-end "gourmet" items such as organic bagged spinach, brand name lunch meats or boutique items like Philadelphia Cooking Creme for a dollar or less, when your customer least expects it. Granted, your operations should have the facilities to accommodate these perishable items, and not all variety stores can do so. Nonetheless, you can boost credibility as a merchant by offering name brands whenever possible
 
In search of great sales? It is advisable you sell multiple items in your shop. This will fast track your profit rate. I say so because selling one kind of item might limit your sell to a particular kind of persons, hence diversify

Opening your own variety store rather than opting for opening a franchise operation leaves you responsible for deciding what products to sell. A mix of regularly stocked and rotating products that cater to customers’ needs and wants are the key to operating a successful variety store.
 
Your niche of business will determine if you are suppose to sell multiple items or a single type of item, if it is a provision shop, you and I knows that it is already multiple, and if it is building materials, you should only fucus on building materials.
